Meet Helena and her Australian Shepherds
Helena is one of our ambassadors and lives together with her two children and five Australian Shepherds: Storm, Wilde, Holly, Skye, and Triac. At heart she is a horse girl, but during her teenage years she became more and more interested in dogs. As soon as she turned 18 she bought her first dog of her own, and she has never looked back. Now, 20 years later, she has not spent a single day without a dog. Today she runs a kennel and recently welcomed her second litter – five lovely little puppies.
Running a kennel was never her goal, but as her love for the breed and her dogs grew, Helena felt she could make a genuine contribution in terms of quality. Helena has completed a breeder training programme and is passionate about giving puppies the best possible start in life. Puppy buyers are carefully selected to ensure the puppies go to loving homes. Despite the demands of caring for children, dogs, and puppies, it is always just as emotional when the puppies leave for their new homes.
As well as running a kennel, they also enjoy competing across several different categories, including rally obedience, game tracking, showing, and various canicross races. They are an active family who love being out in the forest where the dogs can run freely.
Helena is passionate about health and wellbeing – both for herself and for her dogs. She knows Raw for Paw well and considers the products to be of the highest quality, luxurious, and thoroughly well thought out. The treats are a big hit at home, and they have tried almost every flavour in the range.
“It is important to me that the products are pure and natural, and that the animals they are made from have had a good life. The treats are highly valued by my dogs – you can clearly tell how much they enjoy them.”
They have also tried several of the supplements, and current favourites are Spirulina and Rosehip Powder.
“I like that they have a high nutrient density and are pure products. Spirulina is absolutely fantastic – it is nature’s powerful nutritional powerhouse! It is even used by NASA astronauts because of its exceptionally high nutrient density. I also give my dogs Rosehip Powder. It helps to increase the absorption of other supplements and supports healthy joints. For me, it is of the utmost importance that everything is carefully considered when it comes to my dogs, so that they can reach their full potential with us.”
